Nine pieces make this the most complete of the small kits: pots at 1.2 and 0.6 liters, a folding mini stove, a spoon, fork, and knife, a 16oz stainless cup with a silicone sleeve, and two carry bags. It is the cutlery and the cup that separate it from a bare pot set - you can eat and drink from the kit without packing anything from the kitchen drawer.
The 16oz stainless cup comes with an insulated silicone protector that slides over the outside, which is what lets you hold it with hot coffee inside. Stainless does not scratch the way a coated mug does, and the sleeve comes off when you wash it.
A 1.2 liter pot and a 0.6 liter pot cover different jobs - the larger one for a meal, the small one for water, sauce, or a second course. They nest together with the stove inside, which is how nine pieces end up as one small bundle.
Anti-slip handles on the pots resist heat, and the silicone protector does the same for the cup, so there is no hunting for a cloth when everything is at boiling temperature. Both pot handles fold in, as do the stove's arms, once the metal has cooled.
