Two lenses in the box: the one fitted for bright and overcast daylight, plus a yellow spare at 80 percent VLT for dusk and night runs. They swap magnetically, which takes about a second at the top of a lift. The spherical lens is frameless, which is where the 164 degrees of peripheral vision comes from, and it carries UV 400 protection along with an anti-fog treatment.
Magnets hold the lens in place, so changing it is a pull and a click rather than flexing a frame around tabs. Clear light in the morning and flat light after four are different problems, and the second lens weighs little enough to ride in a jacket pocket.
The frame is cut with OTG clearance, so prescription glasses of average size sit underneath without the arms pressing into your temples. That is worth checking before buying a helmet-and-goggle pair, since most low-profile goggles will not close over a pair of frames.
Removing the rim from the top and sides of the lens is what pushes the useful view out to 164 degrees. On a crowded slope that is the difference between seeing someone come alongside and only hearing them, which is a safety argument more than a comfort one.
The strap runs long enough to go around a helmet shell rather than stopping short at the back of a bare head, and it adjusts from there. The same pair works for men, women and older youth riders on skis, a board or skates.
