Sized for heads between 48 and 54 centimeters - about 18.89 to 21.25 inches - which covers most children from three to eight years old. The shell is ABS over high-density EPS foam and carries CPSC certification to the US standard for children's helmets. A turn knob at the back takes up slack through a full 360 degrees, so the same helmet keeps fitting through a growth spurt, and 11 vents run across the top.

ABS Shell, EPS Core

The hard ABS outer shell spreads the force of an impact and the high-density EPS foam underneath absorbs it. The helmet is CPSC certified, meaning it meets the US safety standard for children's headgear, and it is built for the falls that happen on a driveway, a scooter path or a skate ramp.

Dial Fit That Grows

The 360 degree knob and buckle straps set the fit in seconds, which matters because a helmet that slides back on the forehead protects very little. As a child's head grows over a couple of seasons, the same dial takes up or lets out the difference.

Eleven Vents

Air channels run through the shell in eleven places, pulling heat off the scalp on a summer ride. A cool helmet is a helmet that stays on: most arguments about wearing one start when a child gets sweaty ten minutes into a ride around the block.

Sparkle Finish, Washable Liner

The star sparkle shell catches sunlight, which is the part children notice and the reason it gets worn without a fight. Inside, the pad lifts out for a hand wash, so a summer of sweat and playground dust does not settle permanently into the foam.
